Year 2 Lesson plans – Semester 1

year 2 ict resources

Some students start Year 2 without ever having used a computer before. So at the beginning of the Year, it is worth assuming that the students will need to know everything and being prepared for this. I have tried to put these lessons in the order I would teach them…

  1. Planning required: Create ICT Rules for your classroom. Also plan where you want students to sit. I usually have boy and then girl etc. I put them in an order and keep track of it – so I know who sits where. This means that if I have two chatty students sitting next to each other, I quickly know who they are and split them up etc.
    • Β Main objective: So students know the ICT Rules, how to behave in class and where to sit etc. To know the Main parts of a computer. Start learning the QWERTY Keyboard, Mouse, Logging in, Logging out, Shutdown, InternetΒ and Windows
